BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION
Christine Stangeland is the owner of C.A.M.C. Services, Inc., a company that provides professional guidance to Community Associations and Management Companies throughout Southern California.
She has developed a specialization in the turn around management of “Troubled” Associations. She successfully restructured and reorganized a 400-unit association, as well as numerous other large associations.
She has worked in conjunction with the Fannie Mae Organization and Senator Diane Feinstein’s office in the revitalization of Homeowners Associations in Common Interest Developments.
Christine has become known as an expert in the Community Association field as the past editor-in –chief of the CAI-GLAC’s “Focus” news magazine for over five years. She has been a speaker in the Los Angeles, Channel Islands-Ventura, San Diego, Orange County, Greater Inland Empire and Arizona chapters of CAI.
In her capacity as a National faculty member, she has developed and revised the curriculum for nationally disseminated training courses for association managers. Christine currently teaches the following courses for CAI: M-100, M-201, M-202, M-203, M-205 and the ABC’s a beginner course for Board members.
She has also served as a delegate at large on the California Legislative Action Committee as well as the chair of the National Manager Committee
Christine achieved the Professional Community Association Manager (PCAM) designation, in recognition of her education, professional experience, and service to the community association industry in 1992. She has since given back to the industry by serving on both National and Chapter committees as chairperson and by being a case study facilitator.
Christine is one of the original founding Manager members of the California Association of Community Managers, a self-regulatory trade association, which was formed to elevate the professional standards of care and ethics of Community Association Managers.
She served on the first certification committee of this self regulatory state trade organization in an effort to provide support to the on going endeavor of raising the level of both professional and ethical behavior of individuals conducting business in this Common Interest Development industry.
She is currently a faculty member of CACM, where she teaches the four core courses, as well as the Ethics, Golden Rules, Communication and the Bam I & II courses. In her spare time Christine also serves as a member of the Legislative committee for CACM.
A recent
recipient of the prestigious President’s Vision Award for 2003,
Christine is a
dedicated professional to both her clients and the industry.
She is one of the few management professionals who is a homeowner advocate and in this spirit, her Company began educational seminars for Board members and homeowners to empower and educate them. |
